"We're not models, we're just women of Yorkshire!" Crack out the bunting and ice the buns — the Stephen Joseph Theatre’s first summer production of 2026 is here!

Calendar Girls The Musical, the global hit written by Gary Barlow and Tim Firth, will run from 27 June to 25 July, directed by Artistic Director Paul Robinson.

Inspired by a true story, the show follows a group of Yorkshire WI women who, after the loss of a beloved husband, decide to create a nude calendar to raise money for charity.

What begins as a bold gesture soon blossoms into a journey of friendship, courage, and unexpected self-discovery.

Funny, heartfelt, and proudly Yorkshire — it’s a summer highlight not to be missed.

Whether you’re already booked in with us for summer or planning a seaside theatre break, this is one to circle in your calendar (pun very much intended).

The Stephen Joseph Theatre is around a 20-minute walk from The Headlands Hotel, or roughly £7 by taxi if you prefer to ride. If you’re driving, there’s free parking near the theatre after 6pm

Contact The Headlands Hotel - Book your theatre break with us now, sea views, comfy beds, breakfast always included and a fully licensed bar serving food.
