Cancellation Fees & Payment

Free cancellation or changes are available until the deadline stated on your booking confirmation. After this deadline, the full booking amount becomes payable, and we're unable to waive fees for any reason.

For direct bookings, payment is taken in full on arrival. Our standard policy allows free cancellation up to 28 days before arrival, but please check your booking confirmation.

If you are unsure about unexpected events affecting your stay, we recommend looking in to UK travel insurance. We're always happy to provide any paperwork needed to support an insurance claim.
Check-In & Check-Out

Check-in is from 3PM to 8:30PM

Earlier check-in is possible, just give us a call and we will do our best to accommodate your early arrival.

Later check-in is possible up to 10:30PM but this must be agreed with us in advance, please give us a call if you plan to arrive later than 8:30PM otherwise your booking may be cancelled and marked as a 'no show'.

Child Policy

Minimum child age: 4 years.

Maximum child age: 13 years.

Children aged 13 and over are very welcome, however, they are classed as an adult at The Headlands Hotel.

Anyone under the age of 16 must be in a room with an adult aged 18 or over.
Noise, Groups & Additional Charges

We are a quiet hotel after 11PM. Please respect fellow guests and keep noise (including TV volume) to a minimum.

Zero tolerance for anti-social behaviour towards staff, guests, or property. We will contact the police and take action if necessary.

Excess room cleaning charge: £150 plus the cost of any damages. These will be charged to your card, and further action may be taken to recover losses.

Lost room key replacement: £75
Group Booking Policy
We welcome group bookings, but they must be made directly with us by telephone. Group reservations are not accepted via our website or booking.com.
Please note: Stag, Hen, and other party-style groups are not accepted at The Headlands Hotel.

Group bookings will be required to pay a deposit and will be subject to less flexible cancellation terms, confirmed in writing at the time of booking
What Qualifies as a Group Booking?
A Group Booking is defined as three or more rooms reserved together for the same purpose of visit.

All group bookings are subject to a deposit and less flexible cancellation terms, which will be confirmed in writing at the time of booking.
Bar & Evening Food

Our bar and evening food aren’t included in the room rate, and on rare occasions may be unavailable or run with reduced hours or service.
Car Parking

Parking is limited to around 5–6 spaces and cannot be guaranteed with any booking. There is plenty of free, unrestricted on‑street parking all around the hotel
